In the Employee in the Spotlight column an employee tells what drives them at Go4Logistics. Cédric, TMS consultant, gets the ball rolling.
No two days the same
Cédric started at Go4Logistics about two-and-a-half years ago. He had a good feeling from day one. Cédric comes from the shipping world. His love for logistics remained, but he sought a more varied job.
And he certainly found what he was looking for! Cédric explains: “Obviously each client has different needs, but the variety mainly comes from the fact that Go4TMS is a total package that offers many possibilities when helping your client. As a Go4Logistics consultant you also have a wide range of tasks: from carrying out analyses, to configuring Go4TMS tailored to the client and developing new functionalities together with the developers, to preparing the invoices for your clients.”
Cédric has the necessary project management skills to keep everything on track.
Working with the client to find the best solution
“The back-and-forth with the client to find the best solution is what really gets my blood flowing! Analyzing the problem, discussing options with the client, coming up with even better solutions, evaluating whether the proposal is future-proof… the whole process is very stimulating!” says Cédric.
Cédric also feels that such close collaboration allows the consultant to develop a strong professional relationship with the client. This allows for a broader discussion, and that makes it possible to assist them in their growth. A client like Van Moer that is constantly optimizing and expanding is therefore right up his alley.
At home feeling
“There hasn’t yet been a single day I didn’t get up in the morning and look forward to going to work. We are in contact with each other five days a week, and that is unsustainable if you don’t have that all-important ‘at home’ feeling. In addition to work-related support and coaching, there is always room for a chat, a laugh and a joke. For me, these are essential ingredients of a pleasant, yet professional environment in which everyone can develop in the best possible way,” concludes a satisfied Cédric.
