Recently Microsoft published some very interesting data about the results of Dynamics 365 Business Central, its cloud ERP solution for SMEs. And there was a lot to be proud of, seeing that the number of companies that are using Business Central has doubled since this time last year. This means over 10,000 new customers around the world in just 12 months’ time: an impressive result that makes Business Central the world’s fastest growing ERP solution for the SME market.
Continuous growth
Dynamics 365 Business Central now has over 20,000 customers on its SaaS platform. And it has also exhibited continuous growth in the number of users per implementation. These figures come from Microsoft’s general manager Mike Morton, who presented them at the end of 2021, at the DIRECTIONS event for Dynamics 365 Business Central partners in the EMEA region. Exactly one year ago, Morton reported that Business Central had just passed the 10,000-customer mark.
That means a growth of 10,000 customers in only 12 months’ time – over 800 new customers per month, for a whole year! That’s certainly an impressive number when you think about all the local ERP competitors who don’t even have 800 customers in total.
The best ERP solution for SMEs
Microsoft has set itself an ambitious goal for the near future: the company wants to make Business Central the world’s best ERP solution for small and medium-sized businesses. One of the things it must do to get there is to streamline the implementation even further. The goal is to make this process simpler, faster and cheaper. Sounds appealing, doesn’t it?
Worldwide
The signs for further strong growth are all there. Microsoft continues to increase the number of localized Business Central versions, with the ultimate goal of making this solution available worldwide. The number of active Dynamics 365 Business Central resellers has also exhibited spectacular growth. At present, these resellers are together serving over 100 different countries. And the innovative and extremely motivated partner ecosystem keeps adding new certified apps to AppSource.
